This is the 20 year anniversary version of The High Water Marks’ debut album from 2004. The first 13 songs is the original album recorded in 2003 by Hilarie Sidney and Per Ole Bratset. The duo recorded in the US and Norway and sent 4-track tapes to each other in the mail. Parts were recorded at the Gyldenløve Hotel in Oslo and at Pet Sounds Studio in Lexington KY. It was mixed by Robert Schneider at Pet Sounds Studio and mastered by Charlie Watts at Teknovoice in Los Angeles, CA.

The bonus tracks have two songs recorded by the current line up of The High Water Marks, Good I Feel Bad 2024 and About The Ocean (2024) Logan Miller did his very own version of Have Another Dream and Øystein Megård did his version of High Water Marks. Mike Snowden, the first bass player of the band and touring member by the time Songs About The Ocean came out, did a version of About The Ocean with his son Blue on drums. Finding Clovers, Queen of Verlaine and National Time were recorded live at NRK in Oslo in 2005 while touring Europe. The 8 bonus tracks were mastered by Justin Pizzoferrato.
